October 1, 2011 at 3.00 pm American Corner St Petersburg will host The Confluence of Culture and Narrative Considerations in the Graphic Novel and Comics Medium presentation by comic artist T. EDWARD BAK from the USA. Mr. BAK will visit St Petersburg under the BOOMFEST V INTERNATIONAL COMICS FESTIVAL and meet his colleagues and fans at American Corner.

Кроме того,
23 сентября с 10.00 до 18.00 в Библиотеке книжной графики (ул. 7-я красноармейская, 30, вход со двора, код 150, м. Технологический институт) пройдет конференция “Комиксы и публичные библиотеки”, а 23, 24 и 25 сентября с 12.00 до 18.00 в Малом зале ЦВЗ «Манеж» (канал Грибоедова 103, м. Садовая, Сенная площадь) состоится серия лекций, презентаций, мастер-классов и конечно книжная ярмарка.

On Friday, September 16 at 19.00 at the gallery «ART re.FLEX» (prospect Bakunina, 5, m. Ploshchad Vosstaniya) will open 2 Russian exhibition: «One Day in history» – a project with the magazine «Russian Reporter» and «Forbidden Art» – exhibition of Moscow artists Victoria Lomasko and Anton Nikolaev.
In addition, on September 17 at 19.00 in the bookstore, «Vse svobodny» (nab.r. Moyka, 28, the second courtyard, the code on the gate 489, m. Nevsky Prospect) will be a presentation of the book “Forbidden Art” and a meeting with artists.
On Wednesday September 14 at 17.00 in the Library of Foreign Children’s Books (ul. 3 Sovetskaya, 8, entrance from the yard, m. Ploshchad Vosstaniya, tel. +7 (812) 275-53-10) will host an exhibition of Nikolay Radlov.

So next Saturday we start 5th international comics festival Boomfest. September 10 at 17.00 in the library of book graphics, (ul. 7 krasnoarmeyskaya, 30, entrance from the yard, code 150, m. Tekhnologicheskiy institut) will open a German exhibition «Comics, Manga & Co – the new culture of German comics».
Special guest is one of the most interesting artists of Germany Martin tom Dieck, meeting which will take place September 7 at 20:00 in the library of the Goethe-Institute (nab. reki Mojki 58, 1 etage, m. Sadovaya).
